The founders saw this as a wonderful opportunity to improve local health outcomes. Their vision was based around Standards for Better Health, particularly safety, clinical and cost effectiveness, patient focus and accessible care. The company is limited by shares; the first share offer was made to all the staff in all the 12 practices within the East Cluster of Rochdale. The Kingsway Practice
When the PCT put out a tender for three brand new GP practices in Rochdale GP Care Services Ltd bid for all three, and the company was successful in winning the tender for one of the practices which has been built on Morrisons carpark, Kingsway.

Minor Surgery Statistics
Between January and December 2009 we received 289 referrals, and so far this year we have received 153. Our sessions are held between three venues, Yorkshire Street Surgery in Rochdale Central, Trinity Medical Centre in Littleborough and Stonefield Street Surgery in Milnrow
Phelbotomy Service
Since opening the practice in November 2009 GP Care Services has also set up a domiciliary phlebotomy service, under the leadership of Mrs C Hargreaves, nurse practitioner. This service is for all the patients within the practices in the East Cluster and has proved to be extremely well utilised, with nearly 800 referrals already.
