It was a great privilege to have Jeremy Hughes, the Chief Executive of the Alzheimer's Society visit The Willows Dementia Hub to showcase our facilities. The Alzheimer's Society team have been involved from the very start so it was wonderful to have them back with our unique service up and running.
Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive of the Alzheimer's Society said:
"Many have preconceived ideas about dementia care and managers sometimes don’t connect as well as they might with local people with dementia. In the Willows I saw a great example of tackling both. First, it really is a community resource centre for people affected by dementia offering a range of services to non-residents including the vital but sadly rarely available respite care. Second, people with dementia were directly involved in designing The Willows. Great to see."
We really value their support and look forward to all the good things to come.
