...with GP Care Services C.O. Gail Whitehead. Find out who inspired her, how GPC started and the first single she ever bought.
First single you ever bought?
G: Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris.
When you were in primary school what did you want to be ‘when you grew up’
G: An air hostess. I thought it looked really glamorous.
G: A hamster. Though it's safe to say it did not survive.
If you were a drink, what would you be and why?
G: Definitely Prosecco, because it’s sparkling!
What was the last gift you gave someone?
G: A holiday to my step-daughter and step-granddaughter.
What was your first job?
G: Newspaper girl.
What is your favourite company, and why?
G: GP Care Services because we’re so passionate about what we do, and that shows in all the work we produce.
Who is an inspiration to you, and why?
G: My mum, because of her values in life.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
G: To be able to see the future.
What made you start GP Care?
G: We wanted to make a change. To work towards providing quality services for patients in Rochdale East. It was at the time when practice based commissioning started and the APMS contracts were released. That's when we decided to become a provider as well as a commissioner to bid for the APMS'. We've not looked back since.
