Join us for an evening dedicated to recognising and celebrating the invaluable role of dementia carers and families. Often stepping into their role by default rather than choice, carers and families provide unwavering support for loved ones living well with dementia. This event offers guidance, expert advice, and a chance to connect with others who understand the challenges of caregiving.

Carers and families play a crucial role in the dementia care system, contributing significantly to the wellbeing of those they support—yet they often do so without formal acknowledgment or compensation. There are approximately 550,000 dementia carers in the UK, and it is estimated that one in three people will care for someone with dementia during their lifetime.

“To the world you may be one person, but to the one person, you are the world.”

During this event, you will receive valuable information on available support services, expert-led guidance on distraction techniques, and strategies for effective communication with loved ones living with dementia. Many care givers experience feelings of guilt—but you are not alone. This gathering will offer a welcoming space to share experiences and access resources to help make life easier for both you and your family.

Willows at Home, our personalised home care service, ensures that individuals living with dementia maintain their independence while providing care givers with much-needed respite. Supporting carers and families is essential, and we are here to help.
