There are around 550,000 dementia carers in the UK. It is estimated that one in three people will care for someone with dementia during their lifetime. Dementia carers and families are crucial to the care system, providing significant support often without recognition or compensation.
Our Family and Carers Evening on 28th May 2025 in Rochdale gave crucial support and guidance for families and carers of those living with dementia. The evening went down so well that we are looking to host another evening, so we spread the word and share our knowledge and advice to even more people.
The evening gave people advice on how to deal with you loved one with dementia, where help is available and what to do next, where you can access respite care and sharing experiences and how to deal with them.
Most people that attended the evening rated the content Very Relevant and said the overall experience was Excellent
