Intergrated Elective Care Pathways (ICEP)

Contract Award - Integrated Elective Care Partnership (NHS Heywood Middleton & Rochdale CCG)

Further to the completion of a recent procurement held by NHS Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group for the provision of Integrated Elective Care pathways for ENT, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology and an Upper & Lower GI Diagnostic, Assessment and Advice service, we are pleased to announce that the joint proposal, as submitted by Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Care UK, BMI Highfield and GP Care Services has been successful.

The new contract will require the four partners to work closely together in order to develop new clinical pathways and ways of working between us all, with the aim being a seamless patient pathway, reduced duplication, increased direct listing and a single point of access to the above services as provided by the partner organisations. We firmly believe that this opportunity will bring together the different skill sets and expertise of each organisation to the benefit of patients, allowing the provision of a truly integrated service across HMR, incorporating primary care, CATS and secondary care. Whilst the services are in transition, patients will continue to be seen by all partners in order to ensure that there is no disruption / delays in their care. There will of course also be links further developed with other local stakeholders as the service beds in.

During the mobilisation phase, we will be working towards the development of a joint governance structure and over-arching management board, with representation from each organisation. This being the case the respective management teams will be in touch with some of you for representation on the various working groups we need to set up in order to support any new developments.

If you have any questions or would like clarification on any of the above, please contact a member of our team here
